A Doll’s House Part 2

Written by Lucas Hnath, a sequel to Henrik Ibsen’s groundbreaking and controversial masterwork of 1879. At the end of Ibsen’s play, Nora Helmer makes the shocking decision to leave her husband and her children in order to begin a life on her own. A Doll’s House, Part 2 takes place 15 years after Nora slammed the door on everything. She has returned. But, why? And how have Nora and the family she left behind fared over the years? Hnath’s play opened on Broadway in 2017 and received seven Tony award nominations.


Christmas Shorts Puppet Show

The Lancaster Players, having begun 52 years ago as Puppeteers, are once again employed the special form of entertainment with the use of 25 inch ventriloquist puppets. Written by Lucy Williams “Christmas Shorts” starred Mari Bonomi as a little girl who writes to Santa Claus and he responds. Also starring Jackie Allen. 


 

Opal’s Million Dollar Duck

Desmond and Queenie, the “stars” of the local summer-stock company, drop by “Opal’s Antique Junque Shop.” While rooting through Opal’s treasures they spot a nondescript oil painting—a still life of a dead mallard duck and an apple—and remember a story about an old master which has disappeared from the local art museum. They offer to purchase it. Opal says no, and the plot thickens hilariously.
